Building a Fellblade

Phoros

Whilst I don't know the exact parts, I know the theory. To make that specific Fellblade you need a Baneblade kit and some parts from Machinator's Blood and Skulls Industry. The part(s) you want is the Tank Combo Pack. Then there seems to be some Blood Angels specific bits like the Baal Predator sprue, (or Redeemer/Crusader sprue), etc, but I'm not sure.

What I don't know is how he made the Vulkan Mega Bolter barrels.

Well to build a broadsword fellblade variant like the Blood Angel Sanctimonia Cruor you need:

One Baneblade kit

One Tank Combo Kit

One TL assault cannon from either the Baal predator or the stormraven

Two flamestorm cannons from the Land Raider Redeemer

For the Vulcan megabolter you can either use the one from the stormlord or you can use my Avenger Gatling Cannons. Everything else are just bits and pieces from a few other kits.

I can heartily recommend Machinator's kits. Required a bit of flash cleaning, but no more than you'd expect. He has a full wip thread on Warseer if there isn't one on here.

You can get the Avenger Gtling guns (Vulknan MBs) from his ebay shop

I too recommend Machinators kits. Very durable plastic, high quality, quick shipped. No issues. The pieces fit and looked awesome. Im currently working on a land raider superheavy with machinators pieces... Cant wait to get more time to put up some wip.

It's also possible to use the bitz of TWO Baneblades (providing you the necessary amount of tracks) and use the other one to build scenery or other great APO things (Me and others in my local store are buildung ships for example). You may think that this is a stupid idea but think about it twice. I could imagine some very fine bunkers or a big Baneblade/Hellhammer emplacement.

That's just how I'll start my Fellblade. You can use non-GW bitz of course, too.

I thought I'd show you guys some new stuff I've been working on. First up is the flamethrower/thermal cannon will actually be sold together in the same kit and will be interchangeable with the weapon mount. The kit will consist of the shrouded mantle, two weapon mounts, and a set each of the flamethrower and thermal cannons. These can be used as a inferno or a magma cannon

I wasn't quite happy with the first set of nozzles for each and am working on a new set. More to come on that. There's also still quite a bit of detail work needed such as vents and hoses for the weapon shroud but it's coming along.

Next up is the plasma cannon that will be integral to the Dark Angels Fellblade when I return to working on that beast. I wanted to give the plasma coils more of a caged glass look so I added the ribs in-between. I also added a few design elements from my Tank Dynamos to the plasma cannon nozzle as the two are meant to go together on the model. I also plan to add a new plasma Tank Engine, which will also go on the DA fellblade.

Hopefully I will have these ready to cast in the next couple of weeks.

So what do you think?

Okay, so. Since I'm not too fond of Machinator's interpretation of the Inferno Gun, I'd like to consider alternatives, but I'm not sure which would fit best:

* Malcador Infernus cannon

* Warhound Titan Inferno Gun

* Two or more Grey Knight Heavy Incinerators

Anyone have any ideas?

I think something along the lines of the Malacdor infernus cannon would look best with just a two tube design and a single cowling over the end. The Warhound version would be a little too wide with the tri-barrels and the incinerators or flamestorm cannons would just be too small as a main turret weapon.

Hmmmm, this gives me an idea....

I have the warhound inferno cannon and a baneblade in front of me here. They don't look bad together. I can post a pic if you like.

Also, I highly recommend at least getting a track set (Liberator 1.0) from Machinator. Fellblades just don't look right to me with the current treads. The engine upgrade is a good investment, as well. Can't speak for the tank set, as I don't have those turrets.

So I did finally get around to finishing these parts.

Behold! The Ignitus tank!

The main weapon has a swappable flamethrower and thermal cannon piece held in place by magnets that allows you to switch barrels out very easily.
