Brother Captian/Chapter Master Bareus

Hail Brothers,

 

I felt creative this afternoon so I decided to go through my bitzbox and make an extra HQ choice for a friend of mine who is getting back into the hobby.

The Tale of Brother Barus

 

 

After being implanted with his Black Carapace Brother Barus quickly became a favourite in the circles of The Argent Vanguard and quickly gaining the attention of the Chapter Master with his quick decisions and ability to act in accordance to the best interests of the Chapter. Bareus’ finest moment came when he orchestrated and executed a plan that saw a half strength Tactical squad hold an Imperial Shrine against an onslaught of over 250 Tyranid Hormagaunts.

 

After gaining many honours in both the reserve companies and the Chapters 1st company Bareus was given Captaincy of the 4th Company. As a sign of his office Bareus was entrusted with the Holy Power Sword Dorns Edge and this holy relic has been at his side ever since. Through his career as Captain of the 4th company Bareus continued to earn the admiration of his Chapter Master to the point where to two became close friends.

 

Bareus’ ascension to Chapter Master of The Argent Vanguard came when the previous Master was mortally wounded by a rampaging Tyranid Trygon. After seeing his Master, friend and mentor be slain by the beast, Bareus flew into a rage and in one swift motion took up Dorns Edge and decapitated the Trygon thus earning the respect and admiration of his fellow Captains and earning himself a permanent place on the Chapters Librarium.

 

Although Bareus is new to the task of organising a Whole Chapter he has been left with a very capable group of Captains around him and with their guidance and wisdom he intends to lead his Chapter in many glorious victories in the name of the Emperor and show that the faith shown in him is not misplaced.

 

 

Comments on both the mini and fluff will be welcomed. My pal will be painting it in his chapter colours as his skill outshines mine 1000fold. I'll ask him 2 post photos of it finished once its completed.
