nurgling6688
Hey everyone, I sketched this guy out last night and decided to add some color to him this morning on photoshop. Nothing fancy, just a quick sketch. http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i317/tylerrox6688/spacemarine-1.jpg I picked Ultramarines at random, let me know what you think. Kassill
I like him a lot! Only criticism is his bolter seems a tad small. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/254740-marine-sketch/#findComment-3096559 Share on other sites
McSnow
That's brilliant, I love the mist obscuring the background. Why does he have a knife attached to his boot though? It doesn't seem like a place he could reach quickly if an enemy came on him unawares. Only criticism is his bolter seems a tad small. It's not the size of the Bolter but what you do with it that counts. nurgling6688
Combat roll into a knife lunge? Not sure, just thought it looked cool, the knife was about the last thing I added to him. Captain Juan Juarez
Why does he have a knife attached to his boot though? Because one can never have enough bladed implements of death and maiming. Or because by ducking or dropping in to some kind of fighting stance you can unsheathe it - that seems like the most likely scenario. Lachdannan
Very cool. Wish I could just knock up something like that on a whim. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/254740-marine-sketch/#findComment-3097198 Share on other sites
Thirdfox
I like the crispness of the colors and the fog effect. Would've loved to see a stream of spent bolter shells being ejected from the gun. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/254740-marine-sketch/#findComment-3097424 Share on other sites
Tanhausen
First of all...not bad for a "had 5 spare minutes..."!!!!!!! Things I don't quite like: - its left shin seems too bulky - the banner does some odd "flurring" in the wind. The part closer to the head should be "deeper" in perspective, don't you think? - the bolter does seem a bit small... and the front (where the muzzle is), seems a bit out of perspective. It should fall more "vertically" so to say. More space from the hand to the edge of the front of the weapon. Again, really cool pic :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/254740-marine-sketch/#findComment-3097467 Share on other sites
