My salamander successor chapter tactical marines

Hello

 

Iv decided to collect a space marine force and chose to do a successor chapter to the Salamanders for 2 reasons, one is they are just very cool and i like them and the 2nd is they dor have any officially know successor chapters so kind of lets me go any direction i wish.

 

Now i havnt been in the hobby in over a year so painting has gone abit rusty (wasnt great to begin with) lol

 

Im a simple painter, but will eventually go bk over my models and try washes and highlights and transfers

 

Please note these were taken with my ipod touch, but enhanced pictures will follow at some point.

Hi Justin92, it's hard to say much with those photos really. They look neat and tidy, the metals could maybe do with a wash from the look of 'em and obviously they'll need some basing at some point, but, all up, you're off and running, let's see some more!

Thanks for replying to my topic, once iv got more painted n more money (as used money to get these guys) il get some paints/washes n go bk over more effectively.

 

I currently have 4 almost 5 guys done, so when the rest are done il put up a decent group shot.

 

What do you think of the colour scheme?

The colour scheme seems fine to me, there are some nice nods to the Sallies - green, black and gold are all Sallies' colours, so that's nice. It's hard to say with the pics here but I wonder if perhaps the green isn't a touch to bright contrasted with all that black, or alternatively the black might just need more highlights to shrink the contrast a little. I think a wash on the metals will help tone things down so might pay to see how that goes before making any major changes...
