arnwald
Ok, managed to get Damocles Command Rhino. Got the cleaning/prep part done. ForgeWorld and a previous post suggested Matt Car Paint to start the process (Body Primer). Any suggestions on what to use? Gurth
Unless I'm misunderstanding this, they mean primer of the kind you would use on a car. If you go to a hardware store, paint store or car parts store and buy a spraying can of primer suitable for use on metal,* you should be alright. * I know we're talking about resin models here, not metal ones, but primer for metal parts such as car bodies works well on resin. fivepointedstar
use Krylon Fusion is good on metals, plastics, and probably resin models too. Just coat smooth, and let fully dry. Red Fury
They recommend auto primer because of the extra detergents in the formula that cut through to the surface better than the primer for plastics. Go to any auto store, Autozone or O'Reillys, and they'll have a cage full of auto spray paint including primer. Pick your favorite color, I'd go with gray. cathar the great
Note of caution: Some of these car painting sprays come on very thick. I ruined my first Land Raider with one of these. So be extra careful and apply the paint in thin coats. Red Fury
^ yeah, don't by the one that says 'sandable' on the front. Some are made to be thicker on purpose.
