henrywalker
I have 12 models on thunder wolves including lords etc and one on a thunder bear. they all have storm shields as to me they are invaluable. the storm shields let three of mine beat 5 wraiths the other day. its kinda cheeky but you can attatch the storm shields to the saddles if you want, like the rider has stowed it there. you can then claim it is really there or it is just decoration as you see fit. or if you want to magnetize id say magnetizing to the saddle is easier than the wrist. i generally give frost axes as my special weapon however i wont advise that till see the new rulebook Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/254919-thunderwolf-cavalry-equipement-loadout/#findComment-3100456 Share on other sites

Brissebrajan
okey, well my 4x1.5 mm magnets are to large, guess i have to find smaller ones, maybe some 2x1.5 will work. the storm shields part was clear to me from the start, but i hadn't thought about attaching them to the saddle, gives me more option to add 2 cc weapons to the model etc etc... thanks :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/254919-thunderwolf-cavalry-equipement-loadout/#findComment-3100517 Share on other sites
skeletoro
Are you going to run them with an IC? A Thunder hammer or Power fist might not be a bad idea. The Rider carrying it isn't a character so can't be duelled (if what I've heard about 6e is right) so you don't have to worry too much about pesky foes with power weapons. Also, if you're grouping them with a wolf lord /w Frost Axe, then you've got a nice mix in there, IMO. Lord Ragnarok
Magnets to start with :tu: Yeah, I've been slow to embrace magnets in the past but I recently started doing this for some of my wolves and Relictors and it works awesome. Magnets are definitely the way to go. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/254919-thunderwolf-cavalry-equipement-loadout/#findComment-3102476 Share on other sites
Rune_Priest_Rhapsody
After magnetizing 25 WGTDA, I have decided that I have magnetized quite enough Space Wolves. But it is VEEEEEEEEEEEEEERY conveniant...
