Some thoughts and ideas

This is just one idea to begin with as I don't have the rulebook yet.

But first I'm going to start this by asking a question.

Is the locator beacon on a Stormraven deployed once the Stormraven is placed on the board?

Now for my idea.

Bloods + Vanilla marines allied.

Stormraven with a unit inside plus a dreadnought. 3 Stormtalons, one escorts the Stormraven, one escorts the unit inside, one escorts the Dreadnought.

Fly in from reserves and blast the snot out of something.

Now for another question. How far is cruising speed, 18" or 24"?

~Edit. Forgot to talk about the locator beacon. Ok, so the unit would use Skies of Blood rule for the no scatter disembarkation from the 'Raven along with the Dreadnought.

only 1 of each Elite, Fast and Heavy - so - just one Talon.

;)

:D

sorry mate!

Haha, it's ok. I'm just thinking of the possibilites but without the rulebook it's kinda hard. If it's only one of each than maybe a Thunderfire cannon could be used as fire support.

a stormraven is now a flyer which has a move called zoom combat speed is 18" crusing speed is 36" if you dont fire in shooting phase you can move flat out between 12" - 24" and unless your in hover mode (you have to declare each move phase) you have to move atleast 18" when zooming or its wrecked

also has jink which is +5 cover save +4 if moving flat out

and a stormraven and a stormtalon come under space marine vehicles in the reference guide so that seems like thier available to all chapters

Libby Dreads don't get the new powers and Meltabombs are now AP1 and hit them on 4's, dangerous.

Codiciers and Epistolaries with Divination are very good though. Just hope you don't roll badly for Perils! I'm thinking Corb's will be helping a few not to blow their brains up.

Do you have a quote that a Furioso librarian does not count as a librarian?

Because I haven't read anything that states he doesn't

According to the new FAQ BA Librarians may choose their Codex powers or choose new ones from Biomancy, Divination, Telepathy or Telekenisis. Since the Furioso is a BA Librarian...

Shame I've got to wait two weeks to get my book, would have made good beach reading. B)
