If i get this correctly the veteran box comes with tons of special weapon options but the upgrade sprue is cheaper and basically has the same stuff but not the weapons nor the bases or decals? Ajax Tlamunus Posted July 1, 2012 Share Posted July 1, 2012 It all depends on what you want to do with it and what items you alredy have in your collection. The Dark Angels Chapter Upgrade Frame will make five robed bodies (but not quite complete models) and has oodles of other bits to turn generic Marines into Dark Angels; the Company Veterans Squad will build five complete models and has a nice spread of exta iconography bits... just not as many as the Upgrade Frame. It does have a good selection of special weapons. Personally, I find the Dark Angels Chapter Upgrade Frame the better value. Mix it liberally with second-hand Assault on Black Reach models or any other source of cheap generic bolter marines, and you can stretch yor hobby dollar a long way. Freman Bloodglaive Posted July 1, 2012 Share Posted July 1, 2012 Basically they're the same thing, except the Veteran box has the Tactical Squad special weapons sprue in it along with bases. If you already have plenty of stuff to add then the upgrade sprue plus some bases is probably a cheaper way of buying robed marines. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
