daveclark890
The new Reserve rules (p124 of BRB) state that you can only reserve upto half your force. Page 7 of the BRB then says that where an advanced special rule applies to specific models then they over ride the basic rule. It then says that in a conflict situation Codex wins out over BRB BA Codex page 62: Jump pack: .....Space marines wearing jump packs can be dropped from low flying Thunder Hawk gunships, using their jump packs to swoop down onto the battle field. To represent this they can be kept in reserve and arrive using the deep strike rules. So how are you guys going to play this? Quite clearly there is a massive conflict between the BRB and the codex and the BRB says we can use the codex rules so can still keep the entire DoA in reserve!?!?! Brother_Angelus
They CAN be kept in reserve and arrive using deep strike, not they MUST. Rulebook wins since the codex doesn't state they must DS, only that they may.

sp4rky
They cannot use their jump packs in the assault phase, the FAQ clarifies this for us. And Drop Pods MUST start in reserve so are an exception to the reserve rules in the rulebook.
