Add a Psyrifle Dread (within 9") to the above to make them almost impossible to hit with a psychic power.

Swap the hammerhand on the Psyker for the power that give rerolls to hit.

With the prevalence of Psykers that are going to be floating around in 6th, BS10 Psycannons with rerolls to hit are going to on average, say, hit 4 OUT OF 4 rolls to hit :)

16 rolls of 2+ on T4 is going to bag you 12 wounds, average 3 rends. Psykers are going to be gone quick smart.

Surely instead of making us the greatest Daemon hunting army, it makes us the greatest Psyker hunting army? :Troops:

Thanks for the insightful posts ClockWork... mortified I spent £45 on my rulebook now with such an oracle as yourself around ;)

Anything to add to the discussion, or just loitering around waiting for people to put something you think is wrong so you can get your other foot in your mouth...

The reason it works with Inquisitors is they select EITHER hammerhand or psychic communion. So if your Inquisitor selects psychic communion, you are able to swap it for a random roll on one of the main book charts. Keep in mind that you may get something relatively useless for your army, but it might work out for you ;)

A BS10 model gets a 2+re-roll to hit anyway, on account of their exceptional Ballistic Skill. As you can't re-roll a re-roll, there's no point taking the Psychic Power. Might as well save the points on making your Inquisitor psychic, or else opt for something else!

...and just for kicks throw in a condemnor bolt gun for the free wound to him, too!

Psyocculum is a waste, get a Malleus Inquisitor instead. He brings TDA, a Relentless psycannon and a nemesis hammer as well. Plus the Divination Primaris power for re-rolls (when you can spam the Primaris the other powers kinda don't matter).

You forgot our best anti-psyker counter; the Mindstrikes on a Stormraven. Flyers are more durable now, and now that Perils denies all saves, you can snipe down most psykers quite easily and throw a few frag blasts into their meatshield as well.

Good point. My Rune Priests are very nervous. Hopefully those flakk upgrades for the long fangs come very soon!

Too bad your Chapter didn't follow the Nikea Edict. More proof that the Marines Malevolent are the best... ^_^

Aegis defense line with quad gun is a pretty viable hard counter. Stick the pack leader on the quad gun (so it gets his BS4), the rest of the squad gets to cower behind 4+ cover. Shoot down Raven, blow up the scattered infantry with plasma cannons.
