henrywalker
So in the rule book it says that "jump is not a classification in of itself instead it occurs before another category" ie jump infantry "jump infantry for example would follow the rules for jump units and infantry. does this mean they count as infantry for the purposes of saga of the hunter? Khine
Saga of the hunter note in the character profiles that can upgrade it clearly says that only models without a jump pack may take it. Were you wanting to put a power armour/non jump pack HQ in a unit of Jump Infantry and try to use the outflank rule? Valerian
So in the rule book it says that "jump is not a classification in of itself instead it occurs before another category" ie jump infantry "jump infantry for example would follow the rules for jump units and infantry. does this mean they count as infantry for the purposes of saga of the hunter? As stated, they still wouldn't get to use Saga of the Hunter, due to restrictions within that special rule. However, it would mean that now your Wolf Priest can do his Oath of War against unit type Infantry, and it would now apply to both Infantry and Jump Infantry, whereas in 5e you had to pick one or the other, as they were definitely discreet unit types before. Wulfebane
This new distinction would also apply to Jaws affecting jump pack models. (Sadly still uncertain wording for 'jet'bikes) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/255489-infantryjump-infantry-and-saga-of-the-hunter/#findComment-3108443 Share on other sites
