Dreadknight to defiler

Recommended Posts

One of my colleagues at work challenged me to do a loyalist space marine force using the chaos codex. And I wanna make a defiler, I have a dreadknight kit; loving the concept of the irony... But now I need to work out where to put the battle cannon? Any ideas? I think it'd be too big to rest on an arm (besides thats where the other weapons are going) but would it look good as a chest cannon, energy based? Or shoulder cannon (like a mahoosive bazooka)

Ideas? Suggestions?

you could take a look at some of the setups for the mechs from the mechwarrior games if you want to go shoulder mounted - there was one though i cant remember for the life of me that was built around having a cannon coming out of its shoulder

or... how about having it as a two handed gun for the dreadknight?

I'm planning on doing this too, to make a mini Knight Titan or something. My plan was to convert the arm-mounted heavy psycannon into the battle cannon, then use the gatling psylencer as the reaper autocannons. Not sure yet about the flamer/havoc launcher, but I've seen one with a havoc attached to the top of the model that looked good...

I believe you may be thinking of the "Hunchback" (medium mech with a AC/20 gun in the shoulder) that's been around since Battletech's been around, tho' I can't recall off hand if it's one of the Unseen or not.

Along those lines, you can look at the various gaint robot based animes out there like Gundam.

It isn't. I don't remember it's arms being so small though.

Shoulder-mounted for the win, by the way.

EDIT: A Hollander might work as well.
