Brother Tyler
We might devote an entire issue to this theme, or we might inject it into other issues. Things we might develop include: A homegrown campaign for standard Space Hulk (i.e., Blood Angels terminators versus genestealers). A baseline version of this would use the minis in the box, but there's always potential to think "out of the box." A showcase of someone's painted Space Hulk terminators. Showcases of people's personal (non-standard) Space Hulk terminators. This would include a variety of Chapters (potentially including Chaos Space Marines) and would definitely include terminator minis other than those that came in the box. We might even make this a contest of sorts, using the issue to showcase the winning entry(ies) and honorable mentions. It would be nice to see at least one "army" for each of the codices we cover (except the AM and SoB, of course). A journal on the creation of a Space Hulk/Zone Mortalis table. Power armoured Space Hulk (I've already developed Space Marines versus Orks, but there's no reason we can't change things up a bit if someone wants to explore an alternative). This would include power armoured versions of each of the articles described above. Zone Mortalis articles similar to those above. The good thing about Zone Mortalis is that it allows for much broader coverage. Pig Of Sparta
If we were creating our own campaign, how would people feel about combining some elements from all three into a sort of 'start to finish' boarding action? I realise that combining rules systems has the potential to cause problems but I think that a narrative campaign along the lines of " The Space Hulk/Battle Barge [insert name here] is detected entering a system. The [insert name here] chapter/warband is on patrol in the system/responds to astropathic calls for help/has finally cornered some worthy and potentially profitable prey. After establishing the narrative of the campaign we join them just as the boarding torpedoes and assault boats are fired and using boarding action rules a beach-head is established. Then using a combination of Boarding Action games and Space Hulk games we carry the campaign forwards to the Chapter's victory/crushing defeat. This would also allow for the use of the Power Armoured Space Hulk rules you've developed as well as the possibility bringing Traitor Marines into the mix as 'owners' or assualters of the space hulk/ship in question, which also expands upon the modelling/painting articles that are possible (how to make void-hardened armour and/or boarding equipment springs immediately to mind) as well as allowing us to get more pictures of all the factions involved. We could perhaps run the campaign over several issues or have on issue devoted to the whole campaign. There's also the question of whether to set the campaign within an existing conflict from 40k fluff or to create a new conflict/event. I've probably only stated the obvious here but I thought I'd jump in and see what everyone else thought :D James Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/255535-lip-space-hulkzone-mortalisboarding-action/#findComment-3108830 Share on other sites

So a campaign might start off as one or more BFG encounters, move to a Planetstrike, then to a Kill-Team, then to Epic Armageddon, then to Aeronautica Imperialis, then to a Cities of Death with a field trip to a Zone Mortalis, then to Apocalypse, all while weaving in and out of standard WH40K. Exact sequence and types of games will vary from campaign to campaign, but I dont' think that any campaign necessarily needs to be limited to a single set of rules. So I like where you're going. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/255535-lip-space-hulkzone-mortalisboarding-action/#findComment-3111433 Share on other sites
