Araziel
This log is to document the growth of my allied detachment of Nurgle Daemons to be fielded alongside my Death Guard CSM army, The Pestilent Scourge. While the collection will begin very as a small force, my hope is for it to turn into a full-sized army with time. Epidemius, the Tallyman of Nurgle (WIP) http://i740.photobucket.com/albums/xx43/Araziel__619/DSC_0005-6.jpg I'm working almost exclusively upon Epidemius now for a vow in the Tenebrae Lux. I'd say he'll be done soon, maybe a day or two of more work. I've deliberately kept the shade of the Nurglings a tone or two darker than Epidemius himself, so as to not distract you're focus from him. Saying that, I may go in and add a touch or two details a little bit lighter so as to not make it a block of purple. I'm not happy with how flat the reds looks at the moment though, so I'll be working on that next. Soilbleed, Plague Bearers of Nurgle (WIP) http://i740.photobucket.com/albums/xx43/Araziel__619/DSC_0001-7.jpg Very obviously a WIP at this stage. They arrived in the post this morning. All I've done is glue them to their bases to be ready for spraying. They won't be touched until Epidemius is complete, as well as a Chaos Lord in Terminator for my Tenebrae Lux vow. Memnoch, Daemon Prince of Nurgle (WIP) http://i740.photobucket.com/albums/xx43/Araziel__619/memnoch.jpg Originally part of my CSM force, I wasn't impressed by the fact that a Daemon codex Prince has the flyer rules if given wings, whereas the one from C:CSM doesn't thanks to the FAQ. I'm hoping this is a typo that will be fixed with the launch of the new Codex. As such, he'll be fielded as part of the allied detachment instead. It's not all doom and gloom though, as I can customise him a little more with upgrades this way. Looking forward, I'm hoping to have all of this painted by the 28th July, the next time I head to my gaming club (I live a fair distance for it, so I need to plan when I'm going despite the fact it's on three times a week) to use them in their first battle. The next purchases will possibly be some Nurglings, although it depends on if August does see the release of the new Chaos book, as well as plastic Plague Bearers (seeing as both have been rumoured for an August release). I wouldn't mind painting a Great Unclean One, either, so that will happen at some point. C&C? Thanks for looking. Kizzdougs
Looking good mate! I really like the way the purple daemon flesh contrasts with the green and gold.
