Vor
Anyone played with one yet? How hard/easy is it to destroy? What's the general view of them at this early stage? Considering one for my first 6th game, two Long Fangs squads inside the fortress, two Wolf Priests with them for rerolls and 3 melta/3 plasma drop podding Grey Hunter squads to cause carnage in the enemy lines. hendrik
at 220 pts base cost it's expensive. if you want a strongpoint for your longfangs i'd either suggest a bastion or a skyshield landing platform (4+inv save anyone?) Stormbrow II
Why go with the expensive options when the Aegis Defence Line is 100 for an Interceptor Skyfiring Hydra turret that gives our lovely Long Fangs a 4+ cover save? Especially as we have so little AA stuff in our list. Vlk
Plus, the Fortress of Redemption is actually a DA building, isn't it? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/255728-fortress-of-redemption/#findComment-3111744 Share on other sites

Forté
Redemption. That word isn't known to the Space Wolves surely. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/255728-fortress-of-redemption/#findComment-3112623 Share on other sites
Vor
Does it really matter what it's called? It's not limited to Dark Angels per the rules. It looks awesome. It's a huge freaking fortress. That's enough reason to use it I think. Unless it's a wet paper bag in terms of gameplay. But I don't think it is. Aegis defence lines are often used in games I play, as are Bastions. Sure, not purchased as part of the army before, but we still used their older planetstrike rules when occupied by units. I've not used the Skyshield before, but then I don't have that model built either, despite having owned it since it came out I think.
