Ash Tekka
In fifth there was discussions about mh having an unlimited range for its secondary effect as the only way to miss was to be out of range of the primary damaging effect. I noticed in the 6th rule book the models out of range do not fire. So that seems like that is a sufficient change which now tells us mh is only usable if the target is in range? Also with the new deny the witch rule I'm still not sure how that works regarding Jotww. I apologize if this has already been asked but I thought having a conversation about how the new rules might change what seems to always be hotly debated issues in 5th would be a good idea. Lord Ragnarok
I see no reason why deny the witch would not work on JoTWW. On MH, I'm not sure. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/255888-6th-changes-to-mh-and-jotww/#findComment-3114400 Share on other sites
eyeslikethunder
i always felt the unlimited range meant that if you hit i the target could.not escape the secondary effects by being out of range Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/255888-6th-changes-to-mh-and-jotww/#findComment-3114428 Share on other sites
Stormbrow II
Deny the Witch does work on Jaws. Look Out, Sir does not (as no wounds are inflicted). As for MH, the roll to hit was introduced to get rid of that infinite range shenanigans and restrict its effects to 18". That hasn't changed. Hear da Lamentation
I think the wytch thing will apply. Jaws is effecting the unit ... So why wouldn't it. It doesn't say you have to cause any wounds. Murderous hurrucaine was my favorite power, but you get cover saves now for dang move failures. Plus anyone with move thru cover (all nids for instance) automatically pass dang move tests. It is a good thing we can choose powers at the start of the game now though. Jaarl Stormfang
We can? Can we also choose between using SW powers and using rulebook powers at the start of the game? Or do we need to put that in the army list? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/255888-6th-changes-to-mh-and-jotww/#findComment-3114720 Share on other sites
