YourMumRang
Hey all. I don't want this to be a list building thread but a tactical one. I am trying to build a 2k Drop Podding list but with a little flavour added from the Grey Knight codex. In particular I like the idea of having Mordrak in the army to get another unit down on the first turn to augment my alpha strike. Now, I have a few Marine models but have never played them before (I play Eldar). I have been thinking of a few issues which I'll go into here. - If not Codex Space Marines, what other SM Codices could I look to? (My Marines are a DIY chapter) - What units are best to come down in the initial wave and then subsequent turns? - What GK troop choice (other than Terminators) would you choose? I am thinking of 10 Strikes to deep strike but I believe that in the new rules I'd have to have them on the board turn 1. - Would a Dreadknight with a Personal Teleporter be worth starting on the board and then 'Shunting' forward to again support the initial drop zone? Any wisdom from the considerably more tactically minded SM players here on B&C would be really welcome!
