Every model are going to get the love it deserve and im going to make everyting the way I want.. but please say what you think, criticism are always good.. I havent got my plague marines from forge world yet (hopefully tomorrow). but I have started with a champion and a Daemon prince... The_Chaplain Posted July 10, 2012 Share Posted July 10, 2012 I second the tomb king carrion wings motion, just the right level of putrescence for the model (and more importantly, the size should match up with your daemon prince). nice use of the fantasy nurgle knight head on that aspiring champion, though I think the powerfist needs some work as it looks rather comical in the disproportionate size compared to the arm. plaguewolf Posted July 10, 2012 Author Share Posted July 10, 2012 I maybe go for Carrion wings, but now i saw the Cockatrice... they will make the DP a bit bigger... any thoughts? i cant make the actual DP bigger, to late for that now. but i can give him big wings and lots of torn cloth and make him fly a bit over the ground.. this is not a copy of mortation, that drawing of him just inspired me The Chaplain is right, the power fist did not work out well, not even with GS and cabling.. new power fist (not a terminator one) will be fitted today and my FW order did not come today =( Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Malarius Posted July 10, 2012 Share Posted July 10, 2012 If you take a look at the size of the Manticore's wings in comparison to the torso of the rider, I would say that the wings are just way too big for that model. I'm not saying that it would look bad, but I think that the carrion wings would do a better job. Plus, if you buy the carrion set from GW, that set includes three carrions which gives you more wings for your army. Manticore wings Here's a link to the current Nurgle model I'm working on using the carrion wings. Just to note, I used the old metal ones. I wish I would have used the finecast ones because they are lighter. Carrion wings on Nurgle lord While the Cockatrice wings do fit the look, they fall under the way too big category as well. I think if you would use pipes with smaller diameter they would fit better, also maybe try leaving backpacks off and have different sized pipes growing straight out of their backs?
