Thanx!

I changed the name of the thread rather than having a bunch of threads running at once with my various GK projects.

Here is a Nemesis force hammer project I began this morning along with the art that inspired it.

The eye on this side is missing on purpose to better represent the Aquila

Raw haft material and the side with the eye ;)

So I decided to continue being distracted from the LR project for now and have magnatized Justicar Thawn and a Psycannon Paladin's bases, I plan on doing this to all of my terminator models. My motivation for this is that I am also going to make Space Hulk bases for each of the models, and as such be able to use the models in both games :D

I also carved some chaos runes into Thawn's base using Chaos runes.

Thawn's base says "Changer..." at least that is what I intended it to say :P I will paint the runes to be glowing.

I will be using blood on the bases as oposed to my initial thoughts of lava. I want to recreate a Khorion IX feel to them :)

Knowing that there will be blood lapping at the bases, what color do you think would be good for the "stone" on the bases?

Maybe try to emulate the stone/chaos mound that you have on the existing base (from the chaos terminator lord box), or bring it up a shade or two? I see far too much grey stone on bases in 40k. Rocks come in brown too darn it!

I think that I will try and reproduce the colour of GW's chaos lord base. It looks like a brown/bone colour to me.

The bases in my post are scratch built, but I think that I will try and make one like GW's as well, thanks for the pointers!

Nice conversions!

I don't suppose you have more WIP shots of how you built that hammer? I'm somewhat disappointed with the GK ones, and was thinking of scratching some myself, but didn't know where to start. Seems like you have a good handle on them (no pun intended).

Here is the finished Hammer. I riveted the top and bottom of the hand grip (4 each), I riveted the head of the hammer (don't want it flying off!), I riveted the power cable where it attaches to the hammer, and I riveted the arm mount for the power cable. Pretty riveting eh! ;)

The finished piece has three components:

- Hammer

- Power cable

- Arm mount

This allows for a greater range of possibilities in regards to how it is mounted.

Here are the pices dry fit together:

Now I get to send the weapon off to its new home, where it will be smashing a whole lot of new release Daemons!!!

@ Circus Nurgling:

The only WIP shots I have are posted in this thread already, sorry.

Not too complcated though really. Plastic tubing for the haft, wire to make the grip. various pieces of plasticard for details, and the base of the head is sprue plastic.

I hope that helps! Feel free to ask if you need help with your project.
