L30n1d4s
Looking at the new rules form FW for the Spartan Assault Tank, I think SW might be able to build a list around it effectively, especially when using a Loganwing: HQ -Logan Grimnar - 275 -Rune Priest with Runic Armor TR -10 WG in TDA with 2 Assault Cannons, 8 combi-plasmas, 4 PFs - 470 -5 WG in TDA with CML - 195 -5 WG in TDA with CML - 195 -5 WG in TDA with CML - 195 HS -Spartan Assault Tank with Armoured Ceramite and SB - 320 -Vindicator - 115 -Vindicator - 115 2000 points exactly. Logan, RP, and big squad ride in Spartan Assault Tank and break enemy line. RP can either use normal SW powers to give the Spartan a 5+ cover or can pick Divination discipline instead. Vindicators flank Spartan and either split enemy fire or, if ignored, drop S10 templates on them. Small WG squads hold objectives, provide long range fire support, and/or come in from reserve to maneuver on the enemy. Jarl Kjaran Coldheart
personally, if the big squad if in the supa-Land Raider, i would drop the assault cannons and try to add another WG to the unit, or hunt around for points and grab Arjac. Grey Mage
My question is simple: What are you going to throw that monstrous deathstar at that you expect to make your points back? Jaarl Stormfang
My question is simple: What are you going to throw that monstrous deathstar at that you expect to make your points back? It's not about points, remember the Death Star is Scoring. In Purge the Alien you throw it anywhere and it will certainly kill more victory points than it loses. In the Emperors will you take your opponents objective. In The Relic you take the single objective. That leaves 3 missions where if you roll plenty of objectives you might find your army spread a little thin, but you can still go annihilate scoring units before capturing one with the deathstar, plus whatever else you can capture.
