SoB as allied forces

After looking through the possible combinations of allies I'm finding that most non-GK marines (also not chaos) can ally well with SoB.

 

While having the SoB as your main force is not as effective the otherway around will work really well IMO.

Here's how a small SoB allied regiment would look like:

Jacobus (might have gotten name wrong) for his banner that grants FnP and attacks. Stick him with a terminator squad and those terminators just become more awesome.

1 battle squad. Park it in cover on an objective and start firing.

1 Excorsoist. Because they're just awesome. I mean really I wouldn't mind having exorsists in all my armies.

 

I don't have codices with me atm so I'm not sure about the exact point costs but I estimate it around 350-400 points. Which is pretty cheap for a awesome tank, a unit buffer and a capturing unit.

 

Considering these ally rules I'm even starting to think the WD SoB codex was always planned to be used like this as they were clearly lacking to be considered a full codex. Makes faith points scale better with the size of your army as well.

 

So what do you guys think will we see more SM armies with SoB allies? Or are you planning on doing this yourself?

 

p.s. like I said earlier I don't have the codex with me so I might be wrong on things like Jacobus' banner.

I have about 9 SOB and 6 sisters of repentia and would definately use them as an allied detachment. If they had a new a codex I would expand a little more...

 

Is the codex free online now? I also really like the seraphim but I think they would clash with my sisters of repentia choice.

 

Jacubus sounds cool, but is it fluffy for him to be walking around with terminators?

I am afraid Jacobus can't attach to Termies(or any other GK unit), since they are only Allies of Convenience.
