Power of Fenris!

So barring any major boosts when the Chaos codex is released with rules pertaining to the Thousand Sons, our rune priests have become potent at psychic defense. This just meshes so well with the whole despise maleficarum aspect we have seen in recent BL books as well. I would even be willing to go out on a limb here and say that with the combination of our codex and 6th edition, we are the closest we have been to what has been portrayed in fluff as long as I can remember.

Sorcery........pfffft! RUNIC POWER :D:!!!!!

The thing is that I really want to battle against a new Chaos dex. In fact, I look forward to the rush of players going to any new dex so I can get games in against armies other then what happens to be spammed that month. I am looking forward to a solid Chaos dex and a solid Eldar dex to see them making their appearances back on the tables.

I won't admit to looking forward to a new Chaos Dex. Fills me with dread that they still won't get it right...erm...I mean...may put out some over powered Matt Ward GK killer book with fluff so wooly that you'll see the same cookie cutter list used by all

Does worry me that players will avoid our excellent Runic Powers infavour of those favoured buy those TS heretics.

I really liked the Chaso 3.5 dex back in 4th. Was tough to play against but made it feel very fluffy for my wolves.

Actually, I hope they rock out with their Ward out on the Chaos codex, at least for the cult dudes. If we aren't getting legion rules per se, at the very least, they can make the legion traitors tough.

I don't mind the idea that the Thousand Sons might be murderously sorcerous. Or that the World Eaters are melee monsters. I want that. They deserve that. They've been stuck that way for ten thousand years and more. Make their champions extreme, and the line trooper tough as nails.

But price them accordingly. They can supplement with cultists or lesser adherent astartes if they want, and I'm fine with that. But when I take Logan Grimnar, Arjac, and a squad of Wolf Guard Terminators up against Kharne and his retinue, I want it to be epic, not a curbstomp. We're the Wolves of Fenris; we don't look for easy foes, we look for the foes we're given. And if they've had ten thousand years of practice, so be it. Let's do it.

I, for one, look forward to our Chaos power creep. And to bringing some righteous Vlka Fenryka smackdown on it.
