Suppose I have five tac marines no up grades, assault 10 ork boys, no up grades, now suppose the marines kill all orks within three inches. The rest of the orks are now more than three inches away. So a pile in move will not get them into combat. I assume the marines win with out the orks being able to fight back. Is this correct? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Note there is also an "end of combat" 3" Pile-in on both sides, so it is likely that the 2 squads will remain in combat (assuming any necessary Morale Checks are passed etc).
