Brother Nemiel
My thanks! I was inspired by old school GW and their garish colors of the nineties...Is the red really that bad? It is mechrite red (two thinnish coats) with a single layer highlight of thinned out blood red. Its not bad, just bright. This clashes with the dark green armour. When I started my 4th Company I went for almost the same red as you but have since toned it down to a Scab/Gore red washed with devlin mud then highlighted with blood red. This gives a much darker red (and works better on photos ;) ). Love your signature by the way  I'll do a test figure with the mud wash, or GWs modern equivalent. It shoudn't be to big of a chore to fix the reds on all figures if need be. Thanks for the painting tips! Thanks regarding the signature too! I'm actually kind of happy with it ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/256566-brother-nemiels-army-blog/page/2/#findComment-3163155 Share on other sites
