Vash
This here is my test squad of Purifiers in my Crowe list. Trying out some new paints/pigments and washes. So these are just the first draft. They are all white, since the most common white grey knights have red added. Didn't want to go there, so I went pure white. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v378/VashDime/40k/Grey%20Knights/puristep6.jpg I'll drill out the storm bolter barrels later, once I get my hands on a drill. *ps I think I need to get a new picture :) Cant see any shades on the white from this picture. Adding a close up picture. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v378/VashDime/40k/Grey%20Knights/puricloseup.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/256588-grey-knights-purifiers/ Share on other sites
Dark Legionnare
I think that once they're given a bit more detail around the weapons and given a bit more drybrush shading they will look magnificent. This is the sort of look I wanted to go for with my purifiers except swapping the gold out for a matteish black. Great work, mate! Vash
Yah, thing is... there is more shades on the miniature. But its not seen on this picture. But they could be more defined. I'll try to get a better pictures of one model later on. Thanks. AnImA8
The way the white pops out and blots out the shading might have to do with lighting. Are you using the flash function on your camera? I don't know what kind of camera you have but in general Flash is the most aggravating function. If you have a decent camera and know how to adjust the settings (aperture, etc.) then it may be best to figure out the Micro settings for this particular shot, and set them manually without the Flash. Vash
Thing is. I took it at night. I don't use flash, and the camera I am using is a Cannon EOS 1100. I need to take a photo from a macro distance for it to show. These pictures are a part of a small guide I was making. I will take a photo now so it over with :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/256588-grey-knights-purifiers/#findComment-3122232 Share on other sites
Vash
Adding a close up picture of the white knight. Anyhow, as before, this is a first draft with new pigments and paint. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v378/VashDime/40k/Grey%20Knights/puricloseup.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/256588-grey-knights-purifiers/#findComment-3122246 Share on other sites
