Papa Lazarou
Hi all Long time lurker on here but thought I would finally share what I'm doing. Febelcrofas
That looks really cool dude, I really like the use of filler, I take it that's what it is. My mates and I never have really done much scenery and it's something we keep all saying we need to do. The thing is I don't get a huge amount of time for hobby and when I do I really want to do my marines! I really like the fallen down walk-way. It looks like it's going to look sweet painted. Any chance of some shots of your gaming surface, I take it you have more cool scenery? p.s. I've got some pegs belonging to you............ Papa Lazarou
thanks for the kind words. You're right its filler, its works really well for fixing bits down and the texture looks really good. This our first piece really, took me a year to get around this, prefer to paint models myself but actually enjoyed making this. Will get some some pictures of our board when I can. Papa Lazarou
Hi all, bit of an update. Got it based and primed now with a few base coats and basic washes done, need to do some drybrushing on the flooring and building etc, then onto a more in depth weathering process. Think a order with FW for their weathering powders is in order on payday. :( Any advice and C&C welcome. hendrik
it looks good, my only concern is the heigth of the base it's mounted on. could you post some pictures with a model next to it to comparfe it'qs height? some inkt on that ammo crate might help giving it some more depth as well Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/256604-cities-of-death/#findComment-3130011 Share on other sites
Papa Lazarou
yeah the ammo crate only has it's first coat of green but is going to be dulled down with some delvan mud. I know what you mean about the base in hindsight I should have used about 5mm, this is about 12mm but hey-ho. Pic attached though. TennisBall
You can always add more to the sides of the base to "lower" it so that it blends in with the table more, at least along the back. On the front you could make the exposed base look like it's part of the platform your ruin is on, maybe add an extra step to fit in with the steps there. Papa Lazarou
Hi all, on the home straight now. Just a little bit more work on the ammo box and building to make them a bit more battered, then just awaiting some rust and soot powder from FW to give a more aged feel and it should be done. all c&c welcome cheers Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/256604-cities-of-death/#findComment-3134659 Share on other sites
