John_f
This might be a n00bish question but I'm faily new to 40k. Say you have a BA libby that knows two powers (they all do right?). Can you select one from the BA codex and then roll for one on, lets say, divination chart? Valkyrion
I don't believe so. Either BA dex powers or rule book powers - if you pick rule book powers then you can draw X amount of powers from any table available to you (e.g one pyromancy and one biomancy, or two pyro, or two bio etc) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/256683-choosing-psychic-powers/#findComment-3123093 Share on other sites
DarkGuard
It's either/or here. You can't have one BA power and one BGB power, all your powers must come from one source, your Codex or the BGB. The amount of powers and what disciplines you can pick from are detailed in your Codex FAQ, which explicitly states that you swap out all your Codex powers for the BGB ones if you choose to. Morollan
Although if you read the last WD battle report, the daemon prince has a mixture of Codex and new powers. Still, it's not like we ever expect battle reports to have accurate rules in them! thade
Although if you read the last WD battle report, the daemon prince has a mixture of Codex and new powers. Still, it's not like we ever expect battle reports to have accurate rules in them! One of the sadder aspects of battle-reports, but honestly it's true to the game. When you're playing a match in a new ruleset (or even one you've been using for a long while) and you're not entirely clear on how something works and, you know, the rules aren't the best written bunch out there, instead of sitting around for hours picking it apart word-by-word, you just roll with it and play the game. Mistakes make for interesting games and provide you with unique opportunities for story-telling...which is, not only what the game's designed for, but in fact part of the rules now. <3 That said, my reading of this issue was identical to that of DarkGuard's and Valk's.
