Thrillhouse
Hello, I have recently bought a bunch of space marines and forgeworld stuff to make an army of minotaurs, however two of the pads seem to be modelled to go on the right shoulder of the marine (his right side, my left if I look at him from the front). Now I am new to these space marines and the way they work. But I figured they always wore the chapter insignia on the left shoulder and squad markings on the right side. The Minotaurs blogs I follow have the pads like these too. And i have been looking around, but havent found anything about their heraldry being special. Both the special characters have their insignia on the left shoulder, but these are chaplain and terminator so they could be special (terminators always have the crux on the left side, right?) Can anyone explain/verify this? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/256724-shoulders-and-minotaurs/ Share on other sites
Peredyne
Actually, those are intended for use with the Mk 6 Corvus armor since the left shoulder pad is intended to be the studded pad. Ajax Tlamunus
The Minotaurs aren't as dogmatic about the Codex Astartes as some chapters, but not as laissez-faire as some others. It would fit their Hellenistic aesthics and mythic imagry to give the Sergeants and Corporals (the 2iC in a ten-man squad that leads the demisquad when they split up) the variant shoulder pads and some sort of personalized heraldry on the other.
