Dreadnought missle launchers

Hey guys, would you recommend putting a missle launcher on a Dreadnought? I don't have 6th ed book yet, so I can't be sure, but something about missle launchers having a new missle that makes it easier to shoot down flyers (flakk, I think)? If so, the dreadnought becomes one of the few ways we have to shoot flyers aside from an aegis defense line. So I'm wondering, would it be worth the $8 I'd have to spend on getting it (unless someone can get one cheaper), and worth replacing the close combat weapon? Especially if I don't have a defense line as of right now?

Don't be so quick to discount the difference between "Two S8 AP4 shots" versus "Either two S8 AP3 shots or two S4 small blasts." I know a lot of players that swear by their frag missiles; stacking wounds on tight clusters is at times better than ID threats.

Also, I think it's a good possibility that they will get access to Flakk missiles...so not really a waste, either way.

Aye. And 2 Twin-linked S8 shots fired on Snap fire averages out to 0.611 hits on average. A single S7 Skyfire missile averages 0.667 hits. The bigger chance to do penetrate offsets the slightly lower chance to hit, so the twin-linked S8 autocannon ends up having a bigger chance of damaging a flyer than the flakk missile. Add that to the fact that the twin-linked autocannons are much better at almost anything non-flyer related, and there's no contest.
