Overall: Coteaz

Shooting: Ordo Malleus, Terminator armor, Psycannon, Mastery level 1.

Close combat: Ordo Xenos, Rad Grenades, Psychotroke grenades, combi-melta. With the rise of plasma-weapons in 6th, I'd also give him a Ulumeathi plasma syphon.

For PAGK, always: Maximize Psycannons, at least 1 hammer per 5, all halberds if Purifiers, otherwise skip it.

Yeah, there are really just three Inquisitors you'll see in 6th edition.

Coteaz is good because he unlocks Henchmen Troops (cheap armour, cheap shooting, cheap close-combat with DCA+Crusaders), and on top of that he is also a Mastery 2 Divination psyker. He should always be the first HQ choice you take in any Knight army, he's that good. Shooty Henchmen replace Strikes as your backfield or mid-field objective holders (they are substantially cheaper, harder hitting and they bring Chimeras to bunker in). DCA+Crusaders do need a Raven to work (due to the really bad rules for transports now, Assault Ramp is mandatory), but they can sub in for Paladins rather well (just don't expect them to survive for long after delivery, they trade all the survivability of Pallies for their cost discount).

TDA Malleus Inquisitor with nemesis hammer+psycannon, plus the Mastery 1 upgrade (again, always take Divination) clocks in at only slightly more than Coteaz. You really take him to buff Knight units, in particular Paladin combat squads or Terminator blob. He can roll with Purifiers in a Chimera (five psycannon, one of which is Relentless, is scary firepower), but he's really best with TDA Knight units.

The Xenos Inquisitor can be used in one of two ways. He's a cheaper conversion beamer than the Tech-Marine, and has the additional advantage of being able to prevent Mind-Lock on another unit of plasma cannon servitors (Coteaz chilling with the first unit of course). The alternative build is to load him down with all the funky grenades, and attach him to a Paladin or Terminator unit (or DCA+Crusaders, if you took them). I prefer the Tech-Marine for that purpose though, the warding stave means he'll stick around for longer and ATSKNF is much better than Stubborn. Still, like the shooty Xenos build, he is cheaper than the Tech-Marine, so its something to consider.

Finally, never ever bother with the Hereticus. He was a waste of time last edition, same this edition. By all means, you can call the other two 'Hereticus' if it floats you boat, but don't use the actual rules as such.
