TheFacelessMan
These are my first minis, and I'm having a blast. After looking around for a quick way to paint lots of Grey Knights at a good pace I decided to cheat a bit and use a silver spray paint. I bought a couple cans of different shades and shininess, and sacrificed some dirty orks to see how they all fared. I settled on a base of Krylon Gray followed up with Krylon Aluminium. It's pretty shiny, and after getting some paint on the Justicars I know I've definitely got to put a wash on them to tone it down and give some highlight, but I do like it better than the matte stainless steel that was my second choice. I've finished up a little bit of a the detail on the Justicars, but I still need to do all the parchment and trimmings on their shoulder pads. The biggest thing for me was going for a green lens for the eyes rather than the traditional blue, but it looked so good on the cover of The Emperor's Gift that I decided to give it a crack. I'm not too keen on how they turned out, I feel like they need some more glow to them, so I'll experiment on the next few PAGK's that make it to my desk. I'm considering making all the PAGKs Purifiers, so the green eyes with the white helm might pop more. C&C welcome!
