WarriorFish
... Why would you name a Sister of Battle after a goddess whose main defining trait is that her husband cheats on her a lot?Because that has absolutely no bearing on the name itself? Unless Sisters of Battle go around getting married now and I didn't get the memo. I particularly like the Hive Tyrant's end being it's head exploding into goo. As you said it is a bit long though so a little bit of tidying up wouldn't go amiss ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/257067-a-new-old-player/page/3/#findComment-3151239 Share on other sites
*Furyou Miko
Actually, since it's a Greek name, it kind of does - Hera is the only Hera, because if someone else was called Hera the odds are she would come down and squish them. Jacinda
Actually, since it's a Greek name, it kind of does - Hera is the only Hera, because if someone else was called Hera the odds are she would come down and squish them. Just to cement the trip off topic ... :whistling: I knew a girl in collage named Hera. She was probably the most strikingly beautiful woman I have ever met in person. 6 foot tall, 1/4 African and rail thin. I hate her! Ahem ... sorry about that. Lucky, you can call her whatever you wish. Keep Herose if you like it; it is certainly a unique name. Names do not always reflect the person's actual traits. If you have ever met anyone called "Tiny" you know that they never are :cuss Then there is Sister Prudence who spends way too much time over at the Imperial Guard compound ... Lucky Tiger
Thanks for the encouragement. There will be more. I have to write up back stories for about 4 Cannoness preceptors, two of which have to have background that allow them to stand in for Kyrinov and Uriah Jacobs. I also need a new Canonness and my own living saint. So in the end it will probably amount to several pages of story. I just have to keep up on painting. Lucky Tiger
Some photos of the test models The first one is something I painted 12 years ago during a dry brush craze. The second figure is what I have painted based on feed back and more advanced techniques. I am looking for feedback on the colors and if there is anything from the original work that should be kept for the new attempt. Thanks for your input. thade
She looks nice but it's hard to see much of the detail due to the lightning; if you don't have super bright lights in your workspace, maybe take some demo shots out in the sunlight? :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/257067-a-new-old-player/page/3/#findComment-3179282 Share on other sites
WarriorFish
I'm with thade, looks nice but we can't really see any details to say anything more. The black looks like it could do with some highlighting but that could just be the picture.
