5 Man Assault squad.

Hey guys,

 

I've been thinking about a fun little squad to run. 5 man assault squad with jump packs, flamer and sarge with two hand flamers.

 

It comes to 125 points and gives a highly mobile, scoring squad, small enough to stay out of sight easily and fast enough to make use of flamer templates.

 

Shooting would see 1 str4 ap5 template, 2 str3 ap6 templatesd and 3 bolt pistol shots.

 

When charges it would throw out d3 flamer hits, 2d3 hand flamer hits and 3 bolt pistol shots.

 

Not a game changing unit, but could be fun to run. Vs guard/tau it could really hurt them and follow up with a winning assault, even vs MEQ it could be forcing a few saves on a unit running short on wounds.

 

Maybe throwing an extra 5 points on the sargeant for melta bombs could see them deal with potential vehicle threats.

 

Just wondering if anyone else has tried something similar?
