The Emperor's Armoured Wrath (Extremely Pic Heavy)

Either way, it consists of 10 Paladins as one big Pallie death ball, 10 Grey Knight Terminators in 5 men squads, 1 Grandmaster and 1 Librarian.

Not to mention the 2 Land Raiders.

 

I got my first box of Termies about 4 months before I got the next 5 so the first Paladins are actually in the process of being painted. In fact, one of them is almost done. I'm actually looking for help to make them look better. I really like my new Grey Knight army and they're were much more fun to paint and assemble as compared to my Guardians of the Covenant. They're also great on the playing field.

 

Here's the 10 Paladins, half just assembled yesterday, the other 5; 70% painted. Some of the Paladins don't have an arm because I'm painting their weapons and the whole thing is wrapped in masking tape. My airbrush has been f*****g up so I can't seem to do the reflective effect I wanted yet hence, they're still wrapped up.

This guy was an interesting idea. I bought Captain Stern's figure for my Grandmaster but I didn't use his arms. Then I realized this arm was just begging for a slapping pose. When I'm done with this guy, he will be holding a Khorne Berserker, after tearing off his helment and preparing to slap him in the face, back to the Warp.

Apothecary's backpack piece looks good for optics. This Paladin also has a custom Psycannon. I didn't want all my Paladins to look as if they carried the same Psycannon so this is a Psilencer's body with the the barrels chopped off and the Psycannons barrel glued in place. I think it turned out great.

The Banner is in the process of being painted. I've yet to think of a way to make it stand out. Perhaps some suggestions for me? My painting skills aren't that great though.

This is the Paladin that is 95% done. I'm going to touch up a few things. Maybe I'll do some highlights all over him. Especially his Aegis Storm Bolter.

This guy has a custom converted Halberd. I thought it'll be cool to have this guy with a spear. It looks odd but I like it. Doesn't be-fit his bulk though but f**k it.

More pics of the completed Hammer-Time Paladin. I wanted to make his hammer stand out more so I did 3 layers of Baal Red wash in the recesses to give it a jewelled look.

I really liked Njal Stormcaller's pose so I decided to re-create it. It took a lot of Green-stuffing before I got the right pose. This Paladin had a ForgeWorld Iron Armour heltmet at first but it was too massive to fit properly. It also made him look extremely squat so I removed it...

Just as a joke, my friend suggested I replace a Halberd's blade with the Nemesis Sword's blade. This was the result. A halberd twice as tall as the Terminator holding it. Looks great though, but too massive.

I'm still open to suggestions as to how to make the Paladins stand out more. The 5 un-painted guys don't have bling glued to them yet.

I'm rather proud of the Justicar as well. His pose was hard to achieve and I kind of screwed myself over with it as I can't out a terminator shoulder pad on that arm now. I'll have to cut off a shoulder pad's rim to get it to fit.

I wanted to have the Justicar stand out more but not in the bling-ish fashion the Paladins do so a banner seemed like a good idea. I only have the Space Marine Terminator set's Banner and the Dreadnought Banner. I think using the Dreadnought's banner turned out quite well. It's big but not too big and I have lots of space to do a freehand as soon as I think of a design. Hopefully my painting skills will hold as I do the freehand.

I'm going to order ForgeWorld doors for both my Land Raiders to make them more bling-like and also Hector Rex for I will turn him into my Librarian. That guy looks big enough to be in Terminator anyway. My only worry is that his arms might look odd if I don't used the arms he came with but I'll work it out somehow.

 

After that, I'm going to start playing with my GK.

 

However, I'm not going to start painting for a while. I've got a lot of exams this year so major painting will probably be held off till my year-end holidays. Then I'm going to do a week long painting session to finish up 2000 points worth of Grey Knights.

 

All suggestions as to how to get theses guys to look better is much appreciated. I really want my Grey Knights to stand out nicely. Sorry for some of the poor pics. The IPhone's camera is kind of inconsistent when taking pictures at point blank.
