maxbott Posted July 22, 2012 Share Posted July 22, 2012 My wife has decided on a paint scheme for her troops and it happens to be the flawless host chapter. I need some advice on what colors to use to achieve the fleshy pink and purple. I usually paint in three or more tones. A base coat, ink wash,re base coat and a highlight. Anyone have any prior experience in painting either the fleshy pink or purple I'd sure appreciate any input. Thanks for your time. Lorenzen Posted July 22, 2012 Share Posted July 22, 2012 imho drudges stuff is too bone coloured, unfortunatley milbs pictures have gone from here, but i think a much paler colour works better for the "pink" section of their armour.. i spent a long time trying to pull them away from being baby pink (my old army) and generally i found that washing a very thin layer of tentacle pink over white, shading with tentacle and highlighting with pure white tended to give the best results. *edit* http://www.wargamerau.com/forum/lofiversio...php/t81013.html best example i can find of what i mean.. oh and feel free to have a look through my ancient thread on here if you want to.
