Spear of Achilles
The game was a 2v2. (Chaos Maries/Allied Daemons + pure Spacemarines, vs IG/Allied Sisters + Tau/Allied Eldar). So, Eldrath and his wraithguard is crumping it in assault against the Space marine captain and his bike command squad when St. Celestine charges into the battle. With Eldrad about to be finished by the Captain, the Sister's player has St. Celestine attempt Glorious Intervention. Is this legal? For one, it's a IC from another player's force org chart(s), not the tau/Eldar players own FOC/Allies. For another, at best, these two IC's are from 'Desperate Allies' (subject to 'One eye open'). Is another player's FOC/Allies considered 'friendly' for GI? Raeven
Nope. Not even Allies of Convenience can attempt GI, because "Units in your army treat AoC as enemy units that cannot be ..." and Desperate Allies says, "treated exactly like AoC".
