Crimson Hawk
I know, but I thought that the Daemon subforum could do with the info too, incase they didn't want to search through 20 pages of text for a single post :( Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/257286-new-daemon-models/#findComment-3131056 Share on other sites
Sception
post with higher res images Hrm. Let's see. Plaguebearers, flamers, screamers: all lateral shifts at best for looks, imo, but nice to see them in plastic. Nurglings: these look great. Scribes: meh. Not awful, but not great, not better then most conversions I've seen, and way way overpriced. Hellflayer: kind of dumb looking, and from what I hear terrible in the game too, not that big a deal, though, since apparently it can be built as... Seeker Charriot: better unit supposedly (though still not, you know, good or anything), plus looks pretty cool, though the steeds & crew could be a bit more dynamic. Fancy Charriot: initial thought - why does it cost literally twice as much as a regular charriot? realization - oh, it's just a conversion smashing two of the same kit together, sold as a separate kit in a temporary run. OK, I guess. Looks ok. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/257286-new-daemon-models/#findComment-3131904 Share on other sites
Cmdr Shepard
The chariots seem to have interesting rules but I still have to see if they would be a better choice than Crushers.... Circus Nurgling
I gotta say, if there was one thing that needed an updated sculpt waaaay more than being ported over to finecast, it was the GW great unclean one. Geez take a glance at FW's GUO and then look at that under-sized chunk of butt. I'm not saying GW should make something that big, but it's smaller than the Nurgle Daemon Prince. The nurglings have less variety than the 3rd ed. metal ones, and that's pretty sad given there were what? 5 versions? I'd love for the mordheim nurglings to be ported to finecast... now those were some good sculpts, if not slightly too big. The plaguebearers look good at first glance, but it's hard to say given the shakiness of the camera. I have my hopes up for these. I was really hoping for some kind of new Herald of Nurgle model, perhaps with a palanquin. The rest don't do much for me. Plaguecaster
Just seen the new models on GW they are epic especially the new Nurglings and Plague Bearers I will defiantly get some of them using some Nurglings on my chaos sorcerers base plus they are cheap I thought they would be $80 NZ for the squad of 10 plague bearers not $57. Hopefully in the new white dwarf daemons get cool rules Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/257286-new-daemon-models/#findComment-3134324 Share on other sites
Circus Nurgling
Ok, so I saw the official pics today, and I have to reverse my opinion a bit. Everything looks pretty detailed, and even makes me want to pic up some Tzeentch stuff... I'm stoked. Will definitely be getting some plague bearers. Yeah but it's just not the same as looking at pics that someone took as they went to a show.
