TWC Basing

Perpetual Dawn

Recommended Posts

So I have my TWC models primed and ready but before I get into the swing of things I wanted to decide on how to base them..

I bought Logan at the same time and after looking at him though he looked a bit stumpy for a legendary hero so have put a sloping slate base on and will be adding snow to it.. He looks awesome now, if I remember when I get home I will see if I can get some decent snaps to put up a WIP..

This leads me to TWC, my grey hunters and scouts have modest snow bases (or will have when I finish them) so was wondering do I make my TWC look like they are charging through deep tundra, lurking in frozen forest, scouting through a rocky outcrop, prowling through urban rubble or tearing through enemy front lines/armour. I would like to do the later but don't think I have the resources to do it justice (I had thought of a chaos rhino hull, ripped and wrecked with a few traitor parts twisted in the wreckage)..

Any ideas would be most welcome.. I want to do the models justice, but at the same time I am dying to get a game in with them and don't want to rush it..

In terms of army theme I am taking a Bridge Too Far approach... Drop Pod spear tip of GH's and Arjac, termies.. supported by TWC and long fangs, with more GH's acting as relief and objective holders. Would have loved to have typhoons instead of long fangs for a change to everyone else but I think they are pinnacle to balancing out the aggressiveness of the spear tip.. I digress..

Cheers all..
