Wildcard101
Just for fun, has anybody tried loading out Vanguard Veterans with dual Infernus Pistols or Hand Flamers? With the Gunslinger rule, a model with two pistols can shoot both... BA Capt. with Jump Pack and dual Infernus Pistols... Hmmm... :o Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/257438-ba-gunslinger-vanguard-vetscapt/ Share on other sites
CitadelArmyGuy
I'm pretty sure GW put the gunslinger rule into the BRB so that you can fire a special pistol and your bolt pistol at the same time.... to try make up for the travesty on how expensive they made plasma pistols. I'd stay away from this. A Captain who can't fight well in melee..... yea he just really needs a power melee weapon. I'll....... just leave it at that. Sir Blayse
Not good for captains, but not bad for sgts. I'm actually going to run one RAS sgt this way to go with Dante. I'll have 3 IP's and 2 Melta's in a scoring package. I think the dual IP's also help me with getting 6's for Precise Shots. ( Dual plasma pistol is better for another Imperial army who can take them for 10 points on their vet sgts.) knife&fork
I'm liking plasma pistols better in this edition. The short range of the infernus really hurts now with the new casualty removal rules.
