Priests of Mars

Hi all I don't usually post in this part of the forum but I just finished reading the new Mechanicus book "Priests of Mars" and I have to say I thought the book was quite well done! Also it would appear to be the first of a series so should be more Mechanicus loving coming this way eventually. I was wondering what you all thought of the book? I thought Kerov was well done and the Ark Mechanicus descriptions were sweet! as I'm not great with spoiler tags I won't post the parts I liked the best due to not wanting to spoil the book for others, so Discuss!

Enjoyed this very much. I always love the Mechanicus and McNeill, so had great hopes. It didn't let me down!

Also, anybody catch the strange combo of the Sperenzas true names? One especially linked to Mechanicus nicely....

Parts of it's soul were once known as Grammaticus and more importantly...Kaban.

One of the most interesting thing on Speranza's name was the fact it comes from my own language.... I rarely see my language to be considered at all, so I found it quite interesting, for my point of view, of course

Italian I guess?

If so, it IS very rare in 40K I agree. You just get the butchered Latin instead!

Yes, I'm Italian.

I know Italian is not a very common language around the world, so I was very suprised to read the name of Priests of Mars main starship :P

I liked mechanicum better, but there were bits that really impressed me! But yer, left wanting more

As did I, but I think i just prefer the 30K era for novels tbh, so am biased.

That aside, this was a really nice book, and very much looking forward to the next one.
