Godhead
I guess the topic is pretty clear. Upon 1st reading I thought that they did, but some say they don't. If anyone could help out with some clarification and possibly a page number I would absolutely appreciate it. Black_Crusader
They don't. As per page 81 below Hard to Hit, a flyer can only be hit with snap shoots. The only way to hit a flyer with full BS is to have skyfire weapons (page 42). In page 49 where you can find the rules for flying monstrus creatures it says nothing about them getting a skyfire rule so they can't hit at full BS. You can use vector strike on them which means d3 hits with the flying creature's strength. (Bloodthirster awesomeness  ) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/257709-so-do-flying-mcs-hit-other-flyers-on-bs/#findComment-3135344 Share on other sites

With a simple, not even very expensive, upgrade Bloodthirster inflicts d3 S8 hits using Vector strike. With a some luck it may destroy the flyer. Anyway, consider that once Flying MCs are engaged in CC they cannot be harmed by flayers. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/257709-so-do-flying-mcs-hit-other-flyers-on-bs/#findComment-3135409 Share on other sites
Godhead
The source of my confusion comes from the part where it talks about flyers having the ability to choose to use the skyfire rule, so I read it as a flying MC was considered a flyer too is it not? No. They are considered a Flying MC that is a unit type with its own set of rules.
