The Holy Heretic
...However, as I mentioned in the original article, it should be taken as part of something else Exactly. Thats the point. Minimizing costs on the vital troops, allows you capitalize on your more aggresive elite and heavy support choices. The point is, you invest minimally in troops (quality not quantity), basically making the troop choices useless at anything but scoring. In this way you have no incentive to risk your troops, as their offensive impact will be minimal. You then have your heavy hitters to draw attention from the enemy - and I assure you that if he has the choice between firing at a 600 point hammer threatening to wipe him off the field, or 50 points of non-threatening cannonfodder, he will fire at the hammer just to protect his own forces. Not only that, if he fires at the cannonfodder, it won't matter much, as you will have redundant troops. - You shouldn't think of the henchmen as units per se, more like small detachments doing the menial tasks so beneath the dignity of the shiny knights. And again, I really don't think transports are that important compared to getting more knights on the table :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/257943-henchmen-how-to-be-doctor-evil/page/2/#findComment-3143809 Share on other sites
