Demoulius
glad to see im not the only one who ran into this badly worded part of the big book <_< *sighes* do they proof read these books before they send them out the door? Not to sound like im springing to the defense of the writers, but...how much of this is actually our fault for not reading properly? 98% of all rules 'debates' are nothing more than poor comprehension on the part of the reader. IMO, of course. im not saying the entire book is written poorly but imho they could have done many things to avoid confusion.... the assault section for example is beyond confusing... a quik summary saying what you do, in what order, and a quik desription of what happens there would solve most of it. When we looked at the rules we see 3 ways in which combat could be played out and all would be RAW...
Sir Blayse
Well, compared to the rules in 5th edition, these are leaps and bounds better. I just wish Challenges were in the same section as the assault phase. So far most issues I have run into in game are pretty quick to find and usually have an answer in the book- actually written in there and not just interpretation of what was intended. Still even as written it will be hard for someone's character to reliably be able to hide from a challenge. So one turn to try and hide the PF is not going to make or break anything, plus due to Look out sir! being used outside of challenges means the PF will most likely not kill another character and will just hit one of the chumps close to the unit.
