Corbulo
Hey guys, Quick question. Flyers come on using reserves. Because a Stormraven is an Assault Vehicle. Does this mean if mine comes on turn 2 I can move 36" get out with an assault squad and assault that same turn? I think this is way to strong and I must be missing something some where. Is this true? dswanick
Yeah, you're missing the "Unless stated otherwise, a unit cannot charge, or use any abilities or special rules that must be used at the start of the turn, in the turn it arrives from reserves.", BRB, Pg.125. Nicodemus Doloroso
I don't have my rulebook in front of me, but was reading the section on flyers yesterday. I believe it says something to the effect that troops can only disembark from a zooming flyer by way of being dropped somewhere along its path and scattering as per deep strike (I forget the name of the rule -- like a paradrop of sorts) and that you cannot assault after such a move. The raven would have to be in hover mode for the troops to disembark normally and benefit from the assault vehicle rules.
