Warboss Runtpounda
.... I mean, do I have to choose 'jump infantry' or is infantry enough to cover jetpacks and general infantry. Can I just say 'Vehicles' or do I have to be more specific? Other choices would be nice too. Just so I know what I'm doing a bit more! :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/258213-oath-of-war-choices/ Share on other sites
Toasterfree
With the current definition of unit types now i think if you just pick INFANTRY it will cover all types. if you chose VEHICLE to me that would say ALL of them. Bikes would cover really all of them as well IMHO Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/258213-oath-of-war-choices/#findComment-3141175 Share on other sites
lfbruss
I have a question ( dont have the new BRB with me, I'm in the US navy and traveling), but I understand it as Oath of War gives us PE againt a unit type, but the PE rule in the BRB says if it does not mention a specific type then all are PE, I may be mis-interperting this, but that is how I read it along with the rest of me LGS players, Lfbrss Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/258213-oath-of-war-choices/#findComment-3141547 Share on other sites
Thunderhawk3015
You have to declare what the preferred enemy is as the start of the game. "... may nominate one unit type at the beginning of the game ..." under the Oath of War rule in the codex. In the next sentence it then covers how he and the unit he joins gets preferred enemy against that unit type so there is not going to be a way to say that not declaring gives preferred enemy against all unit types. Hope this helps. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/258213-oath-of-war-choices/#findComment-3141573 Share on other sites

G. A. K.
But 'Oath' has a type, you just get to change it from game to game. Codex overrides rulebook. Pick one and only one per-game, no sense trying to do something you know is BS.
