So I have a confession.....I'm a traitor and a scound....I didn't realize I had betrayed someone other than myself until I looked up from my work station to see my space wolves looking on in resentment at the orks I've been assembling.

I have recently started an ork army and I don't think they appreciate it all that much. Lol

Been finding some more quality hobby time lately and decided to put life into my TWC. I'm really happy with how these last two came out, didn't realize until it was too late that I had selected the same head though. I just has such a great expression to it. Feedback is appreciated, hope everyone is doing well. :)

As you've kept the hair colour different it isn't immediately obvious, plus armour weapons and wolf are all different. It isn't like you just made identical twin brothers/ clones :)

Paint job is very nice and neat,I also like tthe beastman?? shield. Is that just to keep within the theme or is it also a storm shield?

You know I'm not sure what it came out of. We have a local guy that is anything warhammer/fantasy guru and enthusiast. He brought his giant bits tub for me to go through and I grabbed a bunch of those because I liked how they looked. It counts as a storm shield.

Been getting a little distracted in my projects lately....already started painting the rhino and it's looking pretty good. This guy is another distraction, I just wanted a terminator bad ass that I could run as a wolf priest or termy RP. Pulled most of the inspiration from the one in our codex with a few changes. The finecast model is too amazing for me not to use it...

The other distraction in the background is homework....

Nice work as always Fyth, the priest looks really good and I'm liking that new wolf helm, will have to pick some up me thinks. Hope the FW doors work out, I went to WHW a couple of years back and picked up a few Rhino and LR doors but have chickened out of using them so far, I'm looking forward to seeing how these turn out. Keep us posted.

awesome work as always :smile.:

Thanks SlaveTo.

On a minor side note I decided to update my front page and make it a little more inviting. What do you guys think? Took some new photos for it as well on the fly...

Lovely models Fyth! That headswap is brilliant for the TDA priest! Mind if I take inspiration from it?

Go right ahead brother.

'ere in lies Fyth's motivational post.....life is finally slowing down, we've almost finished moving into our new place so I decided to take inventory on my Space Wolves to see what was damaged, and also quite frankly to see everything I have. As I was unpacking I found a few models I had forgotten I purchased which made me curious as to what else my memory was failing on. I decided to take an army pic while I was at it since I've never had everything all together in one place before.

Some Fyth history, the Razor back and the drop pod on the right are the only models that weren't stolen from my original army. As ugly as the paint jobs are, it makes me happy that I have them still at least...

Does anyone know what this terminator is? My husband bought him for me a long time ago not really knowing anything other than it said space wolf on it. Wondering what edition it comes from...

Now that I've aired out my dirty laundry and everyone has seen how much naked plastic I have I'm hoping I can start painting again...

The terminator?

and may I suggest that you build for the moment, and save the painting for the ETL competition coming this April? The FANG wants your support!

WLK

Yeah I was wondering about the terminator, I haven't seen the model before anywhere and couldn't find it online either. Just didn't know if it was like one of the first early models or what, it's quite a bit shorter than the new models too.

Well I've got plenty that I've already started to paint that need to be finished. My plan know that it has been brought up, is to assemble all the new fancy toys I have and try and finish painting my current projects. As you can see I have no shortage of things needing paint right now.....LOL

I will say though I am a little hesitant to build even right now just because of the new rules headed our way. I don't want to build something I can't use either.

Im actually right there with you on the caution to build...I have around 30 grey hunter torsos built just sitting there...collecting dust. February 6 (is that the right date?) cannot come quick enough for me.

the terminator is just an old 2nd edition terminator. I have a set of 5 sitting on my desk right now (also paintless). they were certainly smaller than the current versions of terminators, as the 2nd ed terminators were on regular bases. It wasnt until the current terminators arrived that they moved to 40mm bases.

WLK

Mission success brothers..... it's one stupid wolf that only took me an hour to do, but it's the last in a series of ten wolves that I just had a giant mental wall built around finishing for two years. Managed to finish assembly on some partially built items as well. Feeling energized again, huzzah!

Sorry for the bad pictures by the way, we haven't unpacked the lighting I normally use. It's crazy how much lighting really makes a difference on your pictures.....my next target is finishing out this model, another huge roadblock.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v204/zoogarama/Mobile%20Uploads/IMG_20150917_231514298_HDR_zpsgqovnqev.jpg

Don't feel bad, Fyth. You'd be aghast of the stuff I've never painted and have in fact purged to just to escape the burden and monetary guilt.

- Two boxes of WG terminators, mangled through magnetizing

- An army of pre-5th edition SW that I did while just learning to paint. We're talking two squads of terminators, each with upgrade FW kits, 2 x pre-5th SW infantry kits, Blackreach Marines a bunch of bikes

- A host of 3rd party upgrade bitz

- Chaos Marauders kit

- Metal sternguards

- Master of the Chapter pewters

- At least 5 codex dreadnoughts. Somewhere painted and discarded.

- Two metal Bjorns.

- Classic metal bloodclaws

- FW SW dreadnought. in my defence, somehow the sealant corroded it! I replaced it.

- 2/3 of TWC kit.

- Half a Harald kit (I had two)

- Juggernaut converted into TWC

- Three Canis Wolfborns

There's probably more I've forgotten. Describing it all that makes me to do another purge. There's a box of stuff still there I haven't been able to sell... Anyways:  Bad purchases, bad decisions. It was a time when I had too much disposable income and not enough financial sense or responsibility. I paired it all down to what I wanted to paint and what I never would. I couldn't give it away, let alone sell it, so "Never would" hit the trash.

Getting rid of it all was the best feeling ever. It was freedom.

Now I only build things I intend to paint (mortgage obligations helps limit stupidity). Two drop pods, Murderfang, and Bjorn are the only thing in my backlog now and I intend to put some color to them!

Yup those are the 2nd edition Wolf Guard terminators, I remember picking mine up around '94 and still have them in baggies somewhere. 10 of the little heavy sods!!

Was from around the same time they did the metal deathwing terminators too. Plus expansion packs with cardboard terrain.... Aaaah those were the days :biggrin.:

Put the terminator on a 25mm base, then glue it to a 40mm base and he will be close to the modern Wolf Guard in height.

Svegist aka the Bulldog. Known in the rout as the Bulldog, due to being inordinately ugly but squat, savage and immensely powerful. Some say his abundance of aggression stems from a fault in his geneseed, which makes him suffer from little wolfs syndrome.

The assault cannon and powerfist are the ideal weapons to allow him to vent his pent up anger.. :biggrin.:

That is one heck of a war-host you have there!!
