Ughhhh wispy that FW Dreadnaught throw away made me cringe a little LOL I think I may get to that point eventually....like I've thought about getting rid of my old rhino's as I'm able to replace them with Forge World  door ones. Thankfully though, when my wolves go to battle in a 2k point game I use the majority of the models you see here. The only thing that I never really use are the HQ's but they are fun for casual friendly games so they still see some use. The canis models see play when I run out of TWC models but I just bought another box to fix that so those might see the trash.....

EDIT: And jeese, I didn't know I had such an antique. He just kind of hangs out, and he's fun to have around so don't think I'll be tossing him. Thanks for the feedback on him!

The less said of my Forgeworld exploits the better. So few purchases actually made it to the display shelf... At least losing that one to sealant was an accident. I have a good arrangement with my current hobby acquisition that balances those youthful mispurchases . can't really talk about the arrangement until later this spring, however. :)

Dont wish to split (wolf) hairs, but the terminators came out in the limbo period before 2nd ed hit, so technically first ed, I still have a pdf of the WD mag somewhere when they came out. But they pulled 1st ed off the shelves at that point so you could say 2nd.

Managed to finally finish this Rhino. The green on the head lamps actually turned out really cool so thanks to those of you who talked that over with me in the What are you working on thread! These pics don't really capture the highlights but I have a pretty bad camera so I didn't try too hard. Really happy with how it turned out in the end. Someday I'd like to go back and put some battle damage on it but today is not that day...

Thanks! I actually did a tutorial a while ago for the forum. Here's the link

I've since changed how I do things and seem to get better results. I have some time on my hands tonight so I'll try and update that here in the near future for you.

oh my days, that rhino is really nice. The FW doors and front plate are awesome. I wish I had the focus and patience to highlight my vehicles like this, a simply dry brush on the corners is all they're getting from me lol.

lovely stuff. also the main details being silver with just a few gold parts look great, i've tended to use gold more in the past but this may have swayed me.

i find it how wierd how much it adds to a model to shadi and highlight the bolts.

I was too, part of me really really hoped it wouldn't look good because there are so many but the end result is definitely worth it. Being able to see small details from afar really helps make a model pop on the table.

Ok great Fyth. If you could do an update that would be great. Got my wolves last night.

Rodger rodger.

I'm on speed assembly today. Decided to readdress my Long Fangs that I had hastily put together a while ago and give them some more character. Fairly happy with how squad one came out.

Didn't get everything done that I wanted to do but I'll still call tonight a success. Was able to go back and give some old TWC and LF's some TLC that was badly needed, managed to assemble two IP on TWC, a new TWC, FW Rhino, and a squad of wulfen Really happy with how everything turned out, my right hand has a swollen palm from using the sprue cutters for so long tonight, and I still have the SW Start Collecting box and 10 GH's to go. :wacko.:

Feedback is definitely appreciated!

LMAO for creepy hamster in the last picture, did not notice him at all tonight until I put these pictures up.

Looking good Fyth.

The joins on the TWC head could do with a bit of green stuffing, but the kit is notoriously bad for the gaps if memory serves me.

I like the metals on the finished rhino, especially the gold in the centre of the front plate. So deep and nice, almost like amber.

Lastly, the wulfen are looking good, as-is Krom.

Tbh I was thinking the same thing on the gaps. It has been so long since I've assembled any, I think I remember doing it on one or two of them before? I'll have to toy with it...I think tonight though I want to start painting my LF's so it may be a while before I get around to it.

It's been a long time since I posted anything on here, but I have recently got back in to playing 40K after a four year drought. I'm jonesing to get painting again and came across this thread. Your work is great and the improvement in your painting skills is phenomenal. I've been in the hobby for 20 years and I don't paint that well! Excellent work!

I've struggled to get my Rhinos with FW bits to look as amazing as yours do. Again, awesome work! Keep it up!
