Iron Father Ferrum
What's up with that Inquisition symbol? The middle looks Tau:ish to me. That's the personal sigil of Malcador the Sigillite, mentioned briefly in one of the Garro audiobooks, and it's the only iconography used on the Errants' power armor. Eventually, it'll be adapted and adopted as the symbol of the Inqusition. Pacific81
I would definitely recommend trying one Deus Ex Ferrum. I had some money left over from a gift certificate, thought what the hell and picked one up, and was pleasantly surprised by it. Good production values, the reading is well paced and the character voices are pretty much OK (of course often not as you imagine them to be, but then there is no real way around that problem). While I'm happy to put the missing Legions to rest,* I'm actually more intrigued by that faceless-ish mask at his feet... *They're not there for you to make your own chapter! There is a Codex Astartes with ~1000 Chapters, many of whom can be unaccounted for, lost, recovered and refounded in the buerocracy of Terra so you can come up with your own. Several of the BL writers have gone on record saying they won't reveal the lost legions, least of all in an audio book. It's been something of a running tongue-in-cheek joke since 2nd edition, and they won't change that. However, there are a fair number of hints throughout the series, and while we won't ever get explicit names, it's possible to make a rough guess at what happened to them (one was almost certainly 'brought to heel' by the Space Wolves for instance). If that was the peice of info spoken between the Ultramarines in ADB's novel, he has already flat out denied that was truth but was banter between the Ultramarines. No, that piece of fluff comes from Prospero Burns, and was alluded to by a Space Wolf. You're thinking of a couple of Word Bearers from The First Heretic complaining that the Ultras were so large because they absorbed the rump of at least one of the lost Legions. I don't think he has flat out denied anything, or any components of his books. He stated that that part was banter by the Marines, and just that - but he hasn't commented either way on its veracity, and he won't. Perrin
One of the BL blogs a while ago said it was a Malcador origins story, so not sure how much of the Imperium/Crusade/Primarchs are going to be in it. KnightCommander_Almaric
The Photo looks great, a good piece of artwork once again from the artists that BL get nowadays. Audio Drama's > Audio books. The Drama's such as the garro series, Butchers nails, Ravens Flights etc, are far more fun to listen to, than the Monotone nature of the Audio Books. Whilst driving the Drama's keep me awake. the symbols of the II and XI on the skulls, could be the skulls of the primarchs that were sanctioned. or it could just bea visual symbol that the Inquistion (i.e. Malcador) is everywhere and no sanction is beyond them. Imagine the moment when the big E decided its time to sanction 2 of his sons, and have them removed. He turns to Malcador, and Malcador as regent goes and makes it happen. The Emperor cant do it himself, hes too wracked with guilt for the loss of his sons, so malcador steps up and does the deed that needs to be done but keeps the blood of the emperors hands so to speak. Joking aside, yes I think he is, He's the Merlin to the Emperor's Arthur and the pair of them repeated the same "double-act" throughout history. Rik Other than the fact that Merlin was more powerful than Arthur... yeah, lots of similarities. IMO... Malcador is the 3rd most powerful NON CHAOS GOD ENHANCED Psycher ever.... behind The Emperor and Magnus Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/258418-the-sigillite/page/2/#findComment-3152319 Share on other sites

MadDoc
Are we sure that Magnus is more powerful psyker than Malcador? Since we're told that Magnus was intended to be the one sitting on the Golden Throne (webway threshold) long term and we know that doing so for even the short while that he did ended up killing Malcador , then yes, I think its safe to say that Magnus was more powerful. I agree that Magnus is the more powerful, but tbf Malcador had to keep the webway shut against hordes of daemons, something that Magnus was never expected to do.
