Wicced Posted August 22, 2012 Share Posted August 22, 2012 looking really good mate :) loving the pose and the victim in his grip, but i think his left arm looks a little crowded with the hammer and the big gun. i'd replace the gun with something smaller, like a storm bolter... But I imagine that he swings it using both hands so to grab a CSM he would have to hold it in his left one. pingo Posted August 22, 2012 Share Posted August 22, 2012 I think you need to convey more of a sense of weight to the Chaos marine. He looks too 'floaty' and the GK is lifting him unnaturally and too easily. Perhaps try having the Chaos marine hanging down more vertically with gravity. Perhaps the GK's lifting arm could sit back a little more in the shoulder, with perhaps more of a bend in the elbow, so that there appears to be some strain. Maybe a little more of a bend to his left leg as though it's bearing the weight. Easier said than done, though! But this is really fine work you're doing there. You have used stock bits intelligently and your GS work is excellent, and seamless. This will be a fine piece indeed. Oh and Kudos on making sure the purity seals, pendants, and fabrics hang naturally, though there is one purity seal on the gun that appears to be defying gravity.
