ShinyRhino
I'm curious if anyone uses a non-standard brush for painting. I have historically always used a Loew Cornell size 0, which is essentially similar to the GW Standard Brush in size. However, on my last brush-buying trip, I grabbed a W&N Kolinsky Sable size 0 watercolor brush for the heck of it. The bristles are about double the length of the Loew Cornell brushes I typically use, but of the same diameter. I wore out the last of my normal broshes last night (too few bristles in the ferrule from my non-cleaning self causing them to slowly break over time), and tookout the watercolor brush. I'm not sure I'm a fan. The lengthened bristles hold more paint, but the soft whippiness of the bristles made it hard to paint with precision. Probably why it's a watercolor brush ;). Does anyone successfully paint with a long-bristled brush? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/259078-bristle-length/ Share on other sites
